Chronic pain is invisible, but its impact is life-altering.
Patients and families are often left to navigate a complex system on their own — advocating, researching, and coping in silence.
The Point of Care was created to change that.
We offer support that sees the whole person and their family — blending integrative care, advocacy, and education to make chronic pain easier to understand and manage.
What is Integrative Care Navigation?
Integrative Care Navigation is a patient- and family-focused service that helps guide you through the complex healthcare system involved in managing chronic pain. It connects you with the right blend of conventional and complementary services, coordinates care among multiple providers, and provides personalized support every step of the way.
By combining expert guidance with compassionate communication, integrative care navigation ensures you and your loved ones feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout your pain management journey.

What is pain care for patients and families?
Chronic pain doesn’t just affect individuals — it impacts entire families. Pain care for patients and families recognizes this reality and offers a more holistic, collaborative approach.
It means providing medical treatment alongside emotional support, practical guidance, and education. It means helping families understand the nature of chronic pain, navigate the healthcare system, and feel empowered in their role as caregivers or advocates.
At its core, this kind of pain care is about partnership — working together to improve function, reduce suffering, and restore a sense of balance and connection for everyone involved.
The “Why” Behind The Point of Care
Supporting my daughter through her diagnosis of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) over the past decade reshaped both my personal and professional life. What began as a general naturopathic practice evolved into a focused commitment to pain care—driven by the realities of caregiving and the stories of many patients in my practice living with chronic, complex pain. These experiences have continually challenged and inspired me to find more integrative, practical, and compassionate solutions.
Today, I work with people of all ages, including children, teens, adults, older adults, and caregivers. My role is to guide, connect, and advocate—offering practical, integrative strategies and coordinating care across interdisciplinary teams in Ottawa.
I hold a BSc in Human Kinetics (University of Ottawa), a Master’s in Acupuncture (University of Bridgeport), and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine (Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine). I contribute as a parent advisor at CHEO for the Integrative Treatment Centre and Pain Management Alliance Committee, and serve as a community advocate with Cassie + Friends.
Through The Point of Care, I combine professional insight with lived experience—to ensure that no one navigating pain feels alone.
