Connecting Care, Communities, and Commitment for Pain

At The Point of Care, we believe every community deserves access to compassionate, individualized care—and that’s exactly the point. Our mission is to meet people where they are, especially in communities with limited resources, by delivering care that is both accessible and personal.

At The Point of Care, our focus is simple: helping people live well, even with pain. We take an integrative, whole-person approach that combines the strengths of modern medicine with evidence-informed strategies tailored to each individual. Our role is to coordinate care, support decision-making, and connect people with the right resources—whether clinical, community-based, or lifestyle-oriented. We collaborate with a trusted network of professionals across the city to bring the right minds together, creating care plans as unique as the people they’re built for.

Core elements of our collaborative community care include:

  • Healthcare providers from different disciplines (such as physicians, nurses, naturopathic doctors, physiotherapist, kinesiologists, massage therapists, chiropractors, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, pharmacists, etc.) collaborate to provide care.

  • Involvement of community members and organizations in identifying needs, designing services, and delivering care.

  • Emphasize your unique model: The Point of Care offers a single point of contact to manage and coordinate each person’s care journey—simplifying communication and reducing the burden on individuals and families.

  • We address the physical, emotional, and social aspects of pain through education, support, and personalized care.

Partner with The Point of Care to bring coordinated, integrative care into your clinic.

Getting involved in showing care for your community can take many forms, depending on your interests, skills, and available time.

Remember that even small actions can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and contribute to building a stronger, more caring community.

Here are several ways you can make a positive impact:

  • Start a community project focused on addressing a specific need or issue in your area.

  • Support local charities and non-profit organizations by participating in fundraising events such as charity runs, walks, or auctions. You can also organize your own fundraising event to raise awareness and funds for a cause you care about.

  • Offer your time and expertise to mentor students in your community. Many schools and youth organizations welcome volunteers who can provide guidance and support to young people.

  • If you are looking to get involved with some of our community clinics or other organizations please reach out to inquire about volunteer opportunities that align with your interests and skills.

  • Participate in local events that promote wellness in your community, whether that is care for the environment or care for others, all is welcome.

  • Offer assistance to elderly or disabled neighbours by helping with yard work, grocery shopping, or other tasks they may find challenging. Small gestures of kindness can have a big impact on those in need.
